StephieAnn Design is an independent fashion retailer selling beautiful ‘everyday luxury’ items that are inspired by poetry. The company was founded by Stephie, an art school graduate, who joined the Princes Trust programme to start her business in 2014. Stephie had made great strides with the business and had her own ideas but was ready for some strategic growth.
The unique clothing and accessories were already being sold directly through the website, through in-person events and also through third party online retailers, Stephie was doing social media and email marketing too. But she wanted to know what activities to prioritise, how she could strengthen her marketing and increase profitability; the business needed a marketing plan.
Stephie identified her core competitors and we took a top-level look at their offering and online visibility. We also spoke about her desire to sell overseas, to identify new places to build brand awareness and about human resource options.
Together, we looked at the current situation, marketing mix, SWOT analysis and brand positioning for StephieAnn Design, before setting SMART objectives and action points. We spent many hours discussing, researching and examining, to find details and to determine starting positions for targets.
Following our consultation and research period, alongside the provision of current sales figures, we put the StephieAnn Design marketing plan together inclusive of marketing activity ideas. It also contained revenue, company, customer and sales objectives. The report was presented to Stephie and she was left to use it as her guide, her base for decisions and as a reference point for her targets.
Subsequently, we carried out some key phrase research and website development tasks for Stephie. The business is also on target to meet the long-term revenue objective that was set.
Meg has since worked with me on my website by implementing SEO strategies, updating and backing up the website as well as being on hand to fix any issues. In the past, I have found passing over responsibility to others challenging, however with Meg I feel extremely confident and at ease. Since working with Shake It Up Creative, StephieAnn has grown into a business with great potential.” – Stephie Woolven, Founder & Creative Director
