Kris Botterill launched The Pamper Pod in 2008; a place to find relaxation, expert skincare and personal pampering time. A highly experienced masseuse, reiki master, reflexologist and beautician herself, Kris takes pride in tailoring treatments to the individual at her Brighton salon.
Having always done the company’s marketing herself, Kris met Meg at a networking event and later asked us if we could bring some consistency and brand-quality to her business Facebook page and email marketing.
Kris also asked for help updating The Pamper Pod Squarespace website, adding functions which enabled customers to interact with the business online.
We began by sitting down with Kris, learning as much as we could about The Pamper Pod and discussing the types of promotional offers the company could provide. Then we wrote a campaign plan detailing the components of each monthly newsletter including a special offer.
The work began with a redesign of The Pamper Pod Mailchimp template and testing of it. We also designed a newsletter sign up form and put a sign up link onto the website. Then each month we compiled a new e-campaign and every week we published a new Facebook post. The Pamper Pod could still post on its Facebook at various times in between, but it meant that there was a base level of social media posts in place, ensuring that followers of The Pamper Pod were hearing from the business regularly.
On the website, we made some content and image updates, re-designed the homepage and added a Facebook newsfeed into the news page.
The Pamper Pod started getting bookings following the very first newsletter we sent out. Over the year, an average of four bookings were made, per special offer. The newsletter averaged an open rate of 9% above the industry average. The regular Facebook posts led to a 20% increase in followers of The Pamper Pod page and the average engagement per post has increased by 5.5%.
Kris signed up to work with us for another year of content planning and digital marketing activities and it’s a pleasure to watch The Pamper Pod grow.
